Spirit Roots & Branches: An Intuitive Earns her Wings

Growing up a middle child in a typically dysfunctional, fairly large, Italian Catholic family in Queens, N.Y., complete with lots of yelling and name calling, I was very shy around new people, especially authority figures. By age ten, I had already attended numerous mandatory wakes and funerals and developed not only a fear of death, but also a sensitivity toward  people who were dying or ill.

Fortunately, my childhood was fairly normal. I enjoyed learning in school, and was blessed with a sprinkling of  really good friends, teachers and relatives who were healthy role models and encouraged the teacher in me to emerge.  I became the first in my family to attend college, and didn’t stop there –I became teacher, counselor,  group facilitator and program coordinator in varying helping institutions and earned an M.S. in education while working full-time.

In the mid 90’s, I began feeling there was more to this physical life, and curiously began exploring my spirit side, reading books on spirituality and meditation by Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, and others. Two personal  encounters with angels in 1996 opened me further to Spirit. Fears about death, long-held anger, and a victim mentality gradually were replaced with a joyful knowing and appreciation of a life bigger, more expansive than simply what can be seen with my eyes; a more peaceful heart, and a profound belief in the healing presence of love and light around each of us, and within every living thing.

In the fall of 1998, the life that was attached to my old belief systems began falling away. The unraveling of my first marriage quickened. I began “coincidentally”meeting like-minded spiritual seekers where I had been living for twelve years–in the Flinthills of Kansas. I also met three very grounded, influential teachers: Bear Heart Marcellus Williams:  Native American shaman and author of “The Wind is My Mother,” who came to teach about our connection to all living things; Monica Ward: student of “A Course in Miracles” and massage therapist deeply connected to the angelic realm now living in California, and Sharon Landrith: meditation teacher and intuitive who introduced me to the healing benefits of breathwork and meditation, now living in Crestone, Colorado.

Through my interactions with these three teachers and additional workshops and studies along my path, I developed an awareness of the unique ways I receive information intuitively. Once I began tuning into Spirit with some degree of regularity and confidence, others began asking for my insight.

Now I serve as an intuitive guide and healing energy practitioner for people and even animals, sharing what I hear, see, sense, and know, offering guidance on life, wellness, business, and relationships.

It seems nothing is off limits either as far as  questions go for Spirit!  Information is readily available through me for others about loved ones here and physically no longer here. After fifteen years of honing my skills, the work I do has deepened to include helping others peel layers of stress, pain and stuck energy.  I also lead group mindfulness meditation, and music, movement & meditation workshops–mini spa sessions for the spirit, mind and body.

If you are looking for ways to de-stress for yourself, loved ones, or those in your company, school, or other organization, feel free to contact me. I am here as a loving guide to inspire others to go within and be their brightest selves.

May you increase your sense of peace, joy and confidence. May you feel the love and wisdom always present within and around you. May you take action from that place of loving empowerment, and may you move into greater, more joyous success for yourself and those whose lives you impact.

Much love & light,

Palma Holden
