What’s your Mylar Balloon of the Day?

So, I thought I spotted an anomaly in a neighbor’s tree–had been thinking it was a daytime orb perched just so–a round patch of light. Even talked to it like it was a friendly space being with magical powers.

“Come and see my daytime orb,” I coaxed hubby. He grabbed his humongous binoculars, came, looked, & told me, “I think it’s a mylar balloon.” I was excited still, inquiring, “A weather balloon?!” Nope. “Probably a kid’s birthday balloon that drifted & got stuck there.”

Doesn’t matter. I had noticed something kind of obscure–one had to be gazing just so in a westward direction, above the horizon, to see this “anomoly” shining brighter than the sun streaming through the top of that particular tree. And I had been. ¬†What’s caught your attention lately & stirred a little magic within you? What’s your mylar balloon find of the day? I’d love to hear about that!
